Our lovely handknitted woollen ponchos are flying off the hangers! They are handknitted in Kathmandu from soft lambs wool and feature a pair of pom poms on a drawstring at the front. They come in one size that will fit Uk sizes 8 - 16 and in the choice of red, black, moss green, denim blue or mocha. Our Ponchos are machine washable on a 40 degree woollen cycle. However for best results we recommend hand washing using a special woollen detergent, dry flat.

As an alternative to our best elling mexicano poncho we bring you our new Japani Poncho modelled on the Japanese Style Poncho. It can be worn with the two sides hanging down or as a wrap with one end over the shoulder. They are made for us by one of our fair trade producers in Rajasthan, India. They are made from our amazing recycled plastic bottle fleece. In India everyone who can afford it drinks bottled water as the tap water can be pretty dodgy. This means that there is a serious environmental problem in the form of mountains of empty drinking water bottles. These are the raw materials for our plastic bottle fleeces. They are melted down and spun into a fine thread which is then woven into our beautiful fleece. They are very soft, light and most people mistake them for brushed wool, but they are better than wool in the fact that they are non allergenic, if wool makes you itch then this is the material for you! They come in one size and in the following colour bands; red, blue, green & brown although each poncho ends up being a slightly different colour. Machine washable on a 40 degree cycle, do not tumble dry, line dry - it's kinder to your clothes and kinder to the environment.

Our new Yak Wool Hooded Ponchos are Lush! They are handknitted from 100% genuine Yak Wool, in the Kathmandu Valley by our fabulous knitters. The yak wool has an amazing texture and is soft and warm, it contains natural water repellent oils which means that if you get caught in a shower the water brushes off. As it's name suggests our yak wool ponchos have a hood to keep your head warm when it gets a little nippy! They come in one size that fits size 8 - 18 and in just the natural colour. You can machine wash our ponchos but to keep them in peak condition we recommend hand washing them with a special wool detergent. Dry Flat.
